About Dr. Echeverri

Dr. Natalia Echeverri was born in Colombia and immigrated to the US as a young child. She grew up in Miami, attending and graduating from Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. She received her Bachelors in Biology and her Masters in International Administration with a focus on Public Health from the University of Miami. She then attended medical school at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at FIU, where she was one of the founding members of Mammography Art Initiative, a yearly fundraiser to provide mammograms to underserved women. Additionally, Dr. Echeverri received a grant from the Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper foundation to work side by side with gynecologist oncologists. While pursuing her medical training, Dr. Echeverri also gave birth to her two sons, Sebastian and Nicolas.

At the conclusion of medical school, Dr. Echeverri pursued her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the primary teaching hospital for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During that time she served as distinct XII chair for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and presented her research on genetics and minimally invasive surgical techniques at various national conferences. Dr. Echeverri is also the recipient of the John Ford Award: excellence in performance in gynecology, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award for her outstanding minimally invasive surgical skills.

Dr. Echeverri is actively involved as an alumna of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, and is one of the board members in the alumni association of her residency. Dr. Echeverri is passionate about women’s health and being at the forefront of medical developments in the field. When she is not in her office helping patients, she can be found spending quality time with her husband and two sons.
